“And I will give you a new heart and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” Ezekiel 36:26

I don’t want to assume that all of my readers are born again Christians…

Perhaps you’re reading this right now and you don’t really know God at all. If that’s the case, I’d like to say hi and thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts.

Believe it or not, I do remember what it was like before I came to know God. One of the most amazing things that I can say happens when a person is saved by God’s grace is that you often times (I will speak from my own experience) feel like a brand new person.

God can make all things new.

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:5

This has been true from the very beginning of time…..when God spoke the world into creation, making something new from nothing….

“All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3

To the promises yet to come when God creates a new heaven and a new earth and Christ returns to call us home.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3

You see, God is in the business of restoration. There is nothing that He can’t heal…not even you.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” 2 Corinthians 5:17

I don’t know your story, situation or heart. Only you and God do. I just want to remind you that if you’re feeling too unworthy or too unclean or too messed up….God’s grace renews you and you are worthy in His eyes. HIs blood washes you clean and He will restore and fix you. Please don’t think that you’re too messed up for God. If that was the case, there wouldn’t be one single person that walked this earth who would be saved because we’re ALL too messed up!

That’s precisely why we need Jesus Christ. We cannot do it alone!

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

We’re all in need of His grace and His mercy.

He’s just waiting for you to ask…

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” Psalm 51:10

Heavenly Father, Thank for gracious love.
Thank you for loving me so much that You have restored, renewed and healed all parts of me and my life.
Thank you for making all things new! I pray, Lord, that you help to restore the hearts of all those who are reading this. You know their situation or their circumstance and I believe that through You ALL things are possible. I ask the Holy Spirit to stir up the hearts and minds of those reading so that they have a deeper longing to know You and serve You. Change hearts, Lord and light the fire within us all and let Your will be done. I ask all of this through the mighty name of Jesus Christ,
